That’s kinda where I’m at. When I showed it to David last night he didn’t even bat an eye to the hight, when I mentioned it he reminded me that Ro was climbing on the high twin bed in his room already and could handle it and that we have the video monitor to watch till he does. I think that’s the one we’re gonna try to get, though. We both really like it.
We’re thinking of getting Rowen a twin bed for christmas instead of switching to a toddler bed, and I’e basically narrowed it down to these two. I’m leaning towards the second one because the higher rails on the side, and I don’t know if Emmy will like cars by the time it’s a hand me down, but it doesn’t come with the storage bins. Either way, David gets a discount on them both.

They have a pack n play in the living room, but they need somewhere they can actually sleep (Rowen won’t sleep unless the house is quiet, and so far neither will Emmy) and it is a very loud house. On top of it, they have two cats they can’t keep away from it in the living room, The thing is, that’ll only take care of one kid - Ro is still using a crib for now too and the plan was to have him use that till he could transition to the toddler bed when they finally take it and that way they could have the pack n play in the living room still for when there (they are difficult and won’t move it between rooms, that thing has been i the same place for over a year).
My mom’s pissed at me. I told her she has two weeks to get a crib or David’s changing his schedule so they won’t get the boys on Sundays anymore.
Ro has literally never had one full nap over there (they were ‘getting a crib’ since before he came), now do I want to deal with two kids like that? Hell no. On top of that, I’ve had someone trying to get us a toddler bed to their house since before I went on leave for Ro to use and they still don’t have a place for it nearly two months later (my old room was suppose to be a nursery and is now storage).
I feel like a horrible daughter, but my kids need somewhere of their own to be able to rest. If they can’t respect that, than oh well.
